Religious and Spiritual Experiences: What we can learn from them?

Event Details

Britain is now seen as a secular society.  Or is it?  Many people describe having what they call religious or spiritual experiences.  There are the experiences of the founders of religions and the great teachers and saints who followed them. There are also poets, artists and others who express their inspirations in creativity.  Attendance at places of worship may be going down, but there still many people who report occasions of an awareness of transcendent reality.  What can we learn from all these in today’s society?

Marianne Rankin, Director of Communications for the Alister Hardy Trust and author of An Introduction to Religious and Spiritual Experience will be speaking at Hounslow Methodist Church, Bell Road, Hounslow TW3 3PB.  Open to all.

This will be preceded at 7pm by the HFOF  AGM.
