The next general meeting of Refugees Welcome Hounslow is on Monday 9th October 2017 at Hounslow Jamia Masjid, Wellington Road South TW4 5HU. The group is working to welcome families from Syria settled in the borough as part of the Governments’s Vulnerable Person’s Resettlement Scheme.
Refugees Welcome Hounslow has been established following a Hounlsow Friends of Faith (HFOF) event held during Inter Faith Week in 2016. It is now ready to launch as an independent group with continuing input from HFOF trustees.
The general meeting will hear updates on progress. It is hoped that two households will be arriving very soon. Also at the meeting a constitution for the new organisation will be presented for approval.
Refreshments available from 7 and the meeting starts at 7.30pm.
