Due to the snowy weather our MEETING TODAY has been POSTPONED. Keep a watch out for the new date.
The details were: Detective Superintendant Shabnam Chaudhri, Faith and Partnership Lead police officer for the Metropolitan Police will be speaking to the HFOF Women’s Group about her life in policing and other issues. The event takes place at the Sri Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha, Alice Way in Hounslow at 6.30pm.
Shabnam won the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ Award at the No 2 H8 Crime Awards in October 2017.
The award is in recognition of her work engaging with diverse communities across London, especially working with women in hard to reach groups to empower them to have a voice, make life choices and stand up against hate crime.
Shabnam works with women to raise awareness around issues such as hate crime and domestic abuse, and encourages communities to get involved who would not otherwise engage with police.
She is the only Muslim female detective within the MPS, and nationally, at this rank.
