What Our Community Says
At Hounslow Friends of Faith (HFOF), our mission is to build bridges, increase knowledge about different traditions, and foster trusting friendships across our borough. The true measure of our success lies in the experiences of the local people who take part in our journey.
The Difference We Make
These testimonies highlight the tangible impact of our interfaith initiatives in Hounslow:
Breaking Down Barriers: By opening the doors to unfamiliar places of worship, we replace the unknown with deep cultural understanding and fascinating learning experiences.
Creating Safe Spaces for Dialogue: Our events give residents a unique, friendly platform to ask questions openly and share personal experiences with neighbours they might otherwise never meet.
Celebrating Local History & Hospitality: Participants consistently experience the immense warmth and generosity of Hounslow’s diverse faith communities, who proudly share their spaces, traditions, and food.
A Trusted Annual Tradition: For many, our community walks have become an unmissable, highly anticipated fixture in the local calendar, celebrated for excellent organisation and a powerful sense of unity.
Real Stories of Connection & Learning
“I really enjoyed the variety of places we visited, and we were welcomed and fed in every place. The Russian Orthodox Church was fascinating, and I learnt so much. My head was buzzing by the end of the day.”

“I was struck by the completely different customs and places of worship we encountered on the walk. It was great to be able to ask questions and talk to the other participants about their experiences.”

“I go on the Walk every year, it’s one of my highlights. It’s always well organised and I have learnt a lot about faiths and places of worship which I had no idea existed, and about local history. At the venues, the people have been friendly and welcoming and keen to share what they do.”
